Ornamental Fencing
Ornamental fencing refers to fencing that is designed with aesthetic considerations as a primary focus, in addition to its practical functions like security and boundary demarcation. Unlike standard fences that prioritize functionality and privacy, ornamental fences are often chosen for their visual appeal and can significantly enhance the aesthetic value of a property.
Overall, ornamental fencing combines form and function, providing both visual appeal and practical benefits.
Key Features Of Ornamental Fencing
Quality Materials
Design & Functionality
Ornamental fences often feature elaborate designs, including decorative elements like scrolls, finials, and intricate patterns. The design can range from classical and ornate to modern and minimalist, depending on the desired look.
While ornamental fences primarily serve an aesthetic purpose, they can also provide security and delineate property boundaries. However, they typically offer less privacy compared to solid fences because they are often designed with open or semi-open structures.
Decorative Finishes
Ornamental fences can have various finishes to enhance their appearance and protect against the elements. Common finishes include powder coating for a durable and colorful surface, or galvanizing for rust resistance in metal fences.
Ornamental fencing is often used in residential settings, parks, gardens, and historical properties. It’s popular for features like garden boundaries, driveways, and as decorative accents around pools or patios.
Ornamental Fence Installation
There are quite a few steps to a proper fence installation. During the planning and preparation stage of fence installation, we first assess the property to determine the optimal location and design, taking into account measurements, local zoning laws, and the fence’s intended purpose, whether for security or aesthetics. We then work with you on a design that enhances the property’s appearance, including choosing materials like wrought iron or aluminum and any necessary finishes. Preperation starts by purchasing all required materials such as panels, posts, gates, and decorative elements, and gather the necessary tools and equipment, including a post hole digger, level, measuring tape, saw, hammer, and concrete.
We then get too work on preparing the site and digging the post holes for the fence. Once the posts are secure we then frame and attach your new fencing panels to the posts. One the fence is up we provide the finishing touches and clean-up!
